Halloween and Friends

Is there anything better than spending a Fall evening with friends?

A group of us went to Governor’s Island to see the Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns, which one could probably best describe as a giant art exhibit of carved pumpkins! At the beginning of the Summer, we instituted the practice of Adventure Days. One person would have an idea and plan an adventure for a day, usually a Saturday we are all free. This past Saturday, Sharon organized a big group of us to make our way to Governor’s Island.

We had a great time checking out the gorgeous artwork and enjoying some hot apple cider (or beer depending on user’s choice). It was so lovely to just catch up with these humans who really make me feel complete. Take some time today to reach out to those people in your life who make you feel like a solid human. Here are some photos!

My favorite pumpkin of the night! If you don’t know me, I do enjoy the Xenomorphs from Alien.

  1. I love this and I love Halloween! That’s a great idea to have each person plan an outing. October is the month of Halloween! Yay!
